Final phases

We have finally approached the last week of the project and it’s very close to being finished. We are filming the ending today and then proceeding to the editing portion. We are doing some special effects that we haven’t done before like implicating a gun shot, as well as duplicating a knife throw. These are great effects that will put our opening ahead and make it special.  Along with the editing we will be adding all non copyrighted and trademark free music. This part is very very crucial because if we accidentally add copyrighted music it could invalidate our project. We have already found some potential music to use that fit perfectly into our genre of action/thriller.

CCR

After much long and hard work I have finally completed my ccr. I wrote a script before to ensure no mistakes were made and that I fit the criteria perfectly. It is just above the five minute which make it perfect so that the audience doesn’t bore out while watching/listening. I hit on all the good points in our film and go over it all very broadly. I think we completed a great film with every little wrong doing but the only thing I would change is the quality but besides that very well.  https://drive.google.com/open?id=1_JXFAALR26Aipp0N45M1SO4Z-gs_Uy6x

Music and editing

Today we have discussed other video editing apps as well as music apps with no trademarks or copyrights. “Video editor” was one of the apps johnathan found and we are using that after going through iMovie first getting all the good qualities from that first. Johnathan and I have the most past experience with editing, my knowledge coming from television production and Adobe premiere pro.  Next application we found was for music. An app called “killer tracks” was perfect for no copyrighted material all we need was our teachers password and we can get a whole data base off free music. In this app we found lots of good soundtracks appropriate for our film  under the horror and thriller category. We are excited to experiment with this music and add it into our film.

Last group discussion

Today we had our last group discussion in class. I had an equal number of students doing magazine and film opening in my group so it was interesting seeing where they were at. Everyone was pretty much on the same page and was either done with filming and getting to editing or almost done filming and wrapping it up soon. Also the people with magazine in my group had layouts of their two page spread and pictures they were using with captions but they all looked good.  Pretty much everyone at my table enjoyed our idea and we’re excited to see the final product. I showed them my story board and explained the scenes one by one. One of the people In my group had the same place we are using to film which I thought was funny. So following up this weekend we should be developing the final edits and review our last copy

Finishing up

Our group is all up to schedule with the project. We have half the opening filmed, some of the music chosen, and all outfits ready for filming. We are using my iPhone 8 to film and it works perfectly with crystal clear footage. We do have a special guest appearing that is not in our group but is a crucial role in the film.  Featuring guests always do well for a movie. The better and we’ll known actors/actresses make more money for the film. Even though our guest isn’t famous it could still get attention from other viewers and become even more intrigued. This upcoming weekend we should be finishing up the recording and get straight to editing concluding the opening.

Spring break

Today, I’ve been searching for some music  to put behind some of the scenes. Most good movies have a whole album dedicated to it with only a few seconds  per song in different scenes. We are trying to collaborate on a playlist of songs to incorporate into the opening. We are using all the music applications to get instrumentals, songs, and beats/rhythms to use but are making sure they are not copyrighted or trademarked. For different scenes there will be different music styles to play into the setting and acting at that time.
